Julianne Spicer
Julianne is an Australian singer/pianist/songwriter, narrator and painter
originally from Sydney.
Discography: Timeless, a self-produced album of original songs fusing
together elements of world, jazz and pop through Long Tale Recordings and
Real World Publishing.
Three albums (Velvet, Real 4 Life, and Lifetime) as vocalist/lyricist with Tokyobased electronic recording unit Ambrozia. Ambrozia have also released
numerous songs on various compilation albums.
Tales of the Heart, a solo piano album of original compositions inspired by the
beauty of the cycles of nature.
Live Performances: Julianne has performed her original music at concerts
and festivals worldwide, including WOMAD 2009 in the UK, Japan Music Week
Nov 2009, and various performances in Australia (including Manly Jazz
Festival), Japan (including Celebrate Australia tour). and Russia’s Far East
(Unity and Diversity tour).
Japanese artists worked with include: Mayo Okamoto (Crystal Scenery tour,
chorus director/backing vocals), Yukihide Takekawa (lyricist), I George (backing
vocals) and Dancin' Station's (hip-hop dance show) Shikoku tour as guest
vocalist.
Studio recordings: session vocalist for Tokyo artists and TV CMs for
companies including Sony, Nissan, Subaru, Shiseido, Hagen Daas, Honda,
Mitsubishi Cars, IBM, Suntory, Asahi, Nivea, Kose and Nao cosmetics.
She’s also recorded vocals and appeared on NHK’s Eigo d’Asabo as a regular
member in their weekly choir spot throughout 2018, and still records
occasional songs for the show.
Other studio recordings include vocals on various compilation CDs, for
companies such as Sony, Avex and Pony Canyon; backing or lead vocals for
Kudo Shizuka and Yoshinori Sunahara, television end theme song for
Mamachari Keiji Gekkichu Kyoku (TBS), film soundtracks; game software
including Devil May Cry (CAPCOM), children's educational songs for companies
such as Yamaha.
Narration/voiceover recordings include: various TV CMs including Olympus
and IBM PC CI sound logos, voiceovers for NHK World, various corporate
videos, children’s educational recordings, including NHK’s Narnia English
learning, and TOEIC.

Hotels and Other Events: Performances as vocalist, pianist and piano/vocal
performing solo and in various sized ensembles doing pop, jazz, a'capella,
standard hotel repertoire, early and classical music at major hotels, clubs,
resorts and restaurants for weddings, corporate events, shows, tours, theatre,
outdoor events, summer festivals both in Tokyo and around Japan. Tokyo
hotels worked at include Grand Hyatt, Ritz Carlton, Park Hyatt, Four Seasons,
Hilton, ANA Hotel, Marriott, Shangri-la, Conrad, Shinagawa Prince Hotel,
Baycourt Resort, Intercontinental, and Pan Pacific.
