Born in Charleston, South Carolina, and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, he discovered Japanese in the 4th grade and has pursued the language ever since, including a six-week homestay in Nagano and three years of Japanese study in high school. He transferred to Sophia University during his third year of college, graduating in 2005.

For over 15 years, he has been active in Tokyo as an actor, model, narrator, MC, and translator/interpreter, bringing professionalism, multilingual skills, and on-screen charisma to a wide variety of projects.
