We are pleased to announce via press release that the film Aichaku, starring Free Wave talent Chris McCombs, will be globally released on the streaming platform GagaOOLala starting September 22, 2025. The film will be available in over 240 countries and regions, and translated into more than 10 languages.

Aichaku is a feature-length film produced by Tokyo Cowboys, a multicultural film production team based in Tokyo. The lead actor, Chris McCombs, originally from the United States, is not only an actor but also an accomplished screenwriter and producer.

GagaOOLala is the world’s largest LGBTQ+ content streaming service, headquartered in Taiwan. Known for its extensive library of gay romance and BL films originating from Asia, the platform also offers a wide range of content including dramas, documentaries, short films, and animation, as well as original productions. GagaOOLala continues to be a leader in LGBTQ+ entertainment culture worldwide.

In addition to GagaOOLala, Aichaku will also be available on Amazon Prime Video.

Film Details

[Story]

Lucas, an American man living in rural Japan, works at a struggling local English school. Despite his modest income, he leads a life filled with quiet contentment.

In the same town lives Ken, a Japanese man of mixed heritage with a foreign mother. Having spent many years working for his uncle’s construction company, Ken finds himself struggling to define his identity and purpose in life.

Drawn together by fate, the two men begin to confront their own emotional attachments as they navigate a relationship marked by missteps and vulnerability.
