History
1989 | Began as the Japanese office for Star Dance Connection, an American corporation. Managed the promotion of American hip hop dancers (in TV shows, magazines, Japan tours, event performances, etc.). At a time when hip hop was experiencing a wave of popularity, we were among the first to introduce the American genre in Japan. |

1990 | Started agent services for Japanese dancers. Booked tour dancers for Watanabe Misato, TMN, and others. |
1992 | Established Free Wave Limited Company. Worked as an agent for foreign dancers in Japan, casting and booking for long-establisehd show clubs, TV, and commercials. Began production of dance shows. |
1993 | Conducted numerous event castings for various attractions (bands, performers, entertainers, MCs, impersonator comedians, etc.). Started agent services for street performers and other entertainers. |
1996 | Began managing Paul Jackson. Ran operations for the children’s educational concert “Jazz for Kids” led by Paul Jackson, who visited over 20 schools nationwide as a volunteer. *Paul Jackson is a world-renowned jazz bass player known for his performances with Herbie Hancock, the Headhunters, and others. |
1998 | Formed the package unit The Starlet’s, composed of foreign dancers residing in Japan. Produced the group entirely in-house, including casting, song selection, costume design, directing, and performing. The unique group, which went beyond simple dance in its surprise-filled audience-integrative performances, enjoyed rave reviews from hotel night show guests and company parties across the nation. In the Nagoya Castle Hotel Summer Dinner Show, the group performed for about 1,000 people over the course of three days, going on to perform for the show three consecutive years. |
1999 | Began production and management of the gospel chorus unit True Spirit, composed of foreign singers residing in Japan. Coordinated Baby Face and other back bands visiting Japan. Produced concerts for Blue Note and others. |
2000 | Began agent services for foreign models, the core of our current business. With the unique management know-how cultivated in our years in the event industry, we built strong, trusting relationships between our clients and our models. |
2001 | Entered the recording scene with the launch of our company record label “Starlet’s Record.” Released “Fisherman’s.com,” an album co-produced by Sakata Akita and Bill Laswell. DJ Crash’s analog board remix of said album’s “Seashell Clause” went on sale. |

2014 | The role of Professor Scott in NHK’s TV novel “Hanako to Ann” garnered attention. |

2016 | Roma, the “hanko prince” known for his appearance on “You wa nani shi ni Nihon E? (What did you come to Japan to do?),” released his self-produced seal-stamp (inkan) set. |
2017 | Celebrated 25 years in the entertainment industry. Managed foreign cast members for over 10 regular NHK shows (Basic English series, English Conversation Time Trial, Introductory Business English, Contemporary English for High Schoolers, Japanology Plus, Tokyo Eye 2020, RISING, etc.). |
