PROFILE
7歳よりピアノを学び始め、ホーンとトランペットを習得する。
17歳よりダブルベースを始め、ブリストルなどでアマチュア演奏を開始する。
18歳のときにロンドンのウエストミンスター大学にて商業音楽を学ぶと同時に、プロベーシストとして活動を開始する。
在学中には、ブラジル音楽に興味を持つきっかけとなった「Bosco d´Olivera」、また、ジャズピアニスト・作曲家の「Steve Beresford」と出会う。
1988年、卒業後ラテン・ジャズを中心に、音楽活動を開始する。
ロンドンでレッスンなどを行ったり、プロ・アマを問わず多くのミュージシャンと共演する。
2003年、日本に移住。三味線と長唄を学ぶ。
現在は、東京と千葉を起点に長唄をベースで演奏するなどの新しい試みを続けている。
